What We Do
Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, you name it, whichever search engine is right for your brand, we can create a well thought out strategy which is about more than just keywords. By factoring in search volume, unique search behaviour, strategic selection, and optimisation tactics, we can turn a money-waster into a money-maker.
Display advertising is an extremely flexible tool with seemingly endless possibilities for targeting, placements, and ad sizes. We can use data and split-tests to craft a Display strategy which drives whatever your business needs, whether it’s awareness through to conversions.
We can create remarketing strategies which listen to your data, understand the weak spots in the buyer’s journey, and customise the audience based on the most lucrative demographics. We create re-engagement or nurture strategies that make people need to return to your website and take action.
Google Shopping Ads
Every eCommerce business should have a Google Shopping strategy that combines Google’s paid and organic options. We work to ensure profit, ROI and ROAS lead the conversation with Shopping, by diversifying your campaigns, and conducting detailed analysis and product feed optimisation.
Sometimes we forget that YouTube is the second largest search engine. Often people are on the platform to educate themselves or hear a story. A well placed YouTube ad can put your brand right in the middle of this. We understand the ins and outs of YouTube campaigns and how to make sure they work for you.
It is extremely advantageous for eCommerce businesses to reach people on popular purchasing platforms such as Amazon, and not just as a listing. In fact, to have listings and not ads is giving competitors the leg up. We help eCommerce businesses identify the most cost-effective, strategic, and profitable targeting options across the Amazon ad types, keeping sales flowing and improving over time.
Social Media Ads
Social media ads offer such a diverse portfolio of platforms, and a multitude of campaign and ad types within them. Social media is a highly strategic advertising method that only works at its best when you get inside the user’s head. Wherever you should be advertising, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest or any of the other social platforms, you need to understand how people use each platform, who they are, and how best to speak to them in this space; something Agora does day in, day out.

Pay-Per-Click Advertising FAQ
SEM actually used to be an umbrella term which encompassed SEO, but over time many marketers have separated the two.
SEM uses paid methods (typically PPC) to encourage conversions, reach your audience, and achieve whichever other goals you’ve set out. SEO is focused on optimising your website, so you perform better organically, meaning you can get more people to your site without paying for their visits individually.
PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click. Pay-Per-Click advertising is charged based on the number of clicks you get on your ad. It’s calculated by multiplying the Cost-Per-Click (CPC) by the number of clicks. So essentially, you only pay for the clicks that the ads generate.
The amount you pay for clicks is dependent on a number of factors such as, competitiveness, quality score, time, location, demographic, and many more. An expensive keyword is likely one that’s either highly relevant for your industry, has a lot of competitors fighting for it, or is not being optimised efficiently. So the solution is analysis and optimisation. Our PPC specialists will work together to come up with a keyword strategy which balances these keywords with ones which are less expensive but still relevant to you.
While you can do either/or, SEM and SEO actually work really well as a combined strategy for a few reasons.
- Paid ads dominate the space “above-the-fold” (the first section you see on a search engine results page before scrolling), so they’re the first thing users see when they are searching for something. Therefore, SEM combined with SEO means your business could acquire both the top ad position and the top organic position.
- SEM can offer results in the short-term, whereas SEO is a long term growth strategy and can take a few months to generate results in some cases.
- Data you gather through testing and optimising your paid ads can be used to inform your organic listings and landing pages, making them even better.
